MADRID STAR BALE HINTS AT BEACH FOOTBALL CAREER

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale may have just given a hint that he could be set to remain in football but another entirely different form. The Wales international winger has not been the luckiest of players at club level in recent years and there are reports that he is set to quit playing club football to focus on playing for the Wales national team alone. Under former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, Bale became an outcast and was no longer used for games under the Frenchman. His career started declining as a result until English Premier League side Tottenham decided to take him on loan for the previous season.

Bale joined Tottenham and spent the whole of last season at the club where he was able to rediscover his form. However, not even his upturn in fortunes could convince former manager José Mourinho that he deserved to play a lot of games. He was also spending a lot of time on the bench under Mourinho and it’s something he did not find very pleasing. The Portuguese manager rarely used Bale in Premier League matches and instead preferred to utilize the forward in the Europa League.

Following the expiration of his loan deal, Bale and his agent became unsure whether the attacker would return to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, following the departure of Zidane and the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement, it was reported that there could be a future for the player in Madrid after all. In a recent social media activity, Bale liked a comment of a fan under his post asking him if he could consider delving into Beach Football, and it has sparked a lot of reactions since.

Bale is expected to report for Real Madrid pre-season duty where he would make his intentions known whether or not he wants to continue at the club.
